I started off as a 431x1 T-33 Crew Chief at Tyndal AFB, Fla. ( great tour during spring break). I took my first overseas tour (even though it is the states) to alaska where I worked on the T-33 with the 5021 TOS. We were a adversary threat target for the F-4 C,D & E. I was volunteered to cross over to the F-4 transition dock when we got rid of our F-4e's and started getting in the F-15A. Left the land of no Sun and went to George AFB as a F-4E/G Crew Chief/Hydraulic/Engine troop. This was one of those tours that I will always remember as the one I hated the most. Spent 5 years in the high desert and hated it. I spent the next 6 years in cold and rainy England working F-111E/Ef's loved the tour but could do without the extra duties. I spent two years there working in the Maintanance Control center keeping the status on three squadrons of F-11e's and 1 squadron of EF-111's. Finally finished my active duty days at Nellis AFB, Nv as a F-4g Crew Chief on the last Weasel Unit, when it deactivated I went to the A-10 Squadron as a Expiditer / Crew Chief. I retired in July of 1999.

To everybody that has served, is serving " thank-you " lets all say a prayer for those still serving in hostile areas and for those who have lost someone during actions.

Hi all!

I am new here. I plan on checking out the Rpods during the RV show and hopefully getting the 172.

Surprised to see 31V was one of the first MOS's listed. This was also my MOS during my enlistment from 85 to 88.
My two duty stations were Ft. Carson and Coleman Barracks in Germany.
Hello and S! to you all!
