Anyone Know The Best Way To Contact forest River

It saddens me to finally admit our 2014 233s roo is a melon...

Have had it less than a year and it leaks more than the titanic - which has caused significant damage (including de-lamination on the side).

Does anyone know the best way to contact forest river directly? They would be shameful on how bad this camper has been - I am actually speaking to an attorney next week to see if there is any type of lemon law protection we can file under.

Here are a few pics of what my camper looked like after sitting at the dealership to fix the leaks -- got the call "Yes sir, everything has been fixed and there are no more leaks" ... yea right.

Really hoping Forest River checks these threads --- this is a very shameful experience. Hope they make it right.

Here is the "Fixed" water leak (note brand new mattresses that had been sitting in puddles of water)

Here is SOME of the water damage from the leaks (the wood is rotted out) - also was "fixed"

Unreal - not sure what the issue is. Did they replace the tenting, the doors, and the seals?

Certainly seems like you need to go over the dealer and deal with FR. This looks more like a job for the factory. When you contact them, don't mention a word about lawyers. Not saying don't contact one, just don't mention it to them. Most companies have a formal policy that they won't continue to work with you if you are in the process of taking legal action against them.

Might be a long shot, but try asking them to buy it back. Never hurts to ask. Otherwise, I guess last resort is see if they will pick up the tab to transport it back to the factory and re-build it.

Hopefully you can find a sympathetic ear at the factory - no reason for those kinds of leaks and the dealer doesn't seem to have any solution.

Good advice on email

I very much agree with those who recommend using email for contact as much as possible. Last year I told a contractor (by email) who was doing a major job for us that I would have to get an attorney if he did not complete the job as guaranteed.

He emailed that he had not made the promises I claimed.

I sent him copies of all our emails, including his written promises.

The next email I got was an apology and promise to complete the work immediately. . .which he did.

Stay cool- be VERY polite but firm. Ask what they can do for you. Again - don't mention lawsuit or lawyer. Don't threaten!!!

Good luck - keep us all informed of your outcome.

Good Luck

If your lawyer is any help, I would LOVE his/her name and number. Understand your frustration. Been there doing that. Had our 2014 Wildcat since last april been in the shop for 6 months of the time we have had it.

From previous threads and other sites, from what i have seen, I think they will take care of you.

I definitely would not mention the lawyer either-unless it gets to that point.

I bet it probably should have been a factory repair.

Good luck, keep us updated.

I contacted FR using their contacts list on the FR web site. I tried calling all the numbers listed but everyone said they were busy and to leave a message. I emailed them instead and received a reply the same day. In your case I would recommend using email only so you have a record of all correspondence. Good luck.

E mail is the best way to go. One thing I don't understand is why you are just now getting a hold of FR? You have a very bad dealer and after sitting for six months they didn't fix the problem. Thats wrong on so many levels. I would never leave my rig at a dealer for more than a few days. If it's longer than that I want to see every day them working on it. After a few visits and no work it is coming home and an e mail to FR to see what they suggest. There is no excuse for this. E mail allows FR to send copies to other employees and things move much faster. A phone call just slows things down.

I have found the best way to contact them is by starting to call them 5 minutes before they open at 8:00am. Also, since they are represented by territory, try calling a West Coast rep or a Midwest rep. They seem to answer or return calls vs. the eastern rep.

Unfortunately, you bought a used unit, whereas the OP bought a new unit. He has things covered under a factory warranty.

Bikendan, are you able to get units fixed/repaired at the Goshen rally if you not the original owner?
