I wander if the ball getting pitted like that is from the ground side of the electrical circuit between tv and tt. Maybe the ground is going through the ball and not the 7 pin.......?

FWIW, I have no pitting at all on my trailer hitch ball. I do use a little bit of grease.

We bought a 2015 rkss and have enjoyed it since. No problems other than operator error. Love the floor plan. We try to camp at least once a month for a weekend or longer. Am really sorry to hear of all the problems.
