Upgrade for 2-piece mattress ?

Most of us will probably agree that the 2 piece mattress in the slidout of a 24R or 24W is pretty terrible. Many of us have added a TOPPER, but that introduces a lot more fiddling around to get it all put together and adjusted every time we slide the mattress open and closed.

Does anyone know of a better two piece mattress ? I did a quick search but did not find much.

Thanks !

We have a SunSeeker 2400 W, and find the 2 piece mattress surprisingly comfortable. We cannot tell there is a seam. Ours is a 2017... Perhaps FR has improved this item.

The original in my 2014 24R sleeps great for me. Would like a source should I need to replace.

I have to agree with Mikegjax - I think the mattress in my 2013 24R was pretty comfortable, never felt the gap between the 2 pieces. However after 3 years of heavy use it was deteriorating slowly. I have a a 2017 Forester now and the mattress seems to be upgraded a lot: there is a foam topper built in and it feels much softer - did not sleep on it yet .....have it only for 2 days..

Both of us got a sore back the first time we used the mattress - it is rock hard. We have a topper, but I'd rather have just a better mattress. perhaps the first owner ordered an 'extra extra extra firm' mattress ?...

There are independent mattress builders who will make a copy of the one you have.

We have a Forester MBS W with a two piece mattress. We did not care for the memory foam either. Ordered a 3" real LATEX topper from Sleepez.com. Had them cut it in two halves for us. Wasn't cheap but is heaven to sleep on! We get a good night's sleep every night.

The mattress in our 2013 2500Ts is pretty firm,,, hoping some day it will soften up a little,,, do not think we want to mess with a topper,,, sounds like a PITA !!!

I have been in contact with the company below for a replacement for our two piece mattress when the time comes.
