That good to hear , Happy Camping!!!

I did the same with mine for the Tv, so I can use the speakers instead of the surround all the time.

it is not good for the tv to freeze. it states in the manual that it can be stored in temps from -20 degC to 60 degC. it gets much colder than that here many times in the winter, so i took it out. we did not use it. it just sat on my dresser all winter. never fails, something has to go wrong. we have time to wait for it. it snowed all day here.

ahhhhhhhh. i got my tv back today. put it back in and all was good. dd was watching a movie in the trailer and i was starting to get it ready for the season. i went back inside the trailer and the rear speakers are static and no sound again. i flew up to the dealer and was very upset. i want rockwood to buy me a different system or buy back my trailer. i have only used the trailer twice. this is not acceptable. i don't want another replacement. they all suck. i want a different brand. i want it now.

Wow that's awesome!!
If you find such a system, we ALL want to know about it.
I don't think there is one.

You'll probably wind up with some of the features you want and maybe
have to add others yourself.
IE-- there are small 12v/120v inverters that sell in the $25 range.
I use one of those to power my LCD TV and cheapie DVD player.
I kinda like that surround sound even though the speakers are crap but
I haven't heard of any other 12v system with it.
I hope you or someone can post here with good news about that!!!!!

My 3rd one died again in mine. within a couple of days of a year to the date. the original only crackled with a CD. the 1st replacement crackled with the radio and aux. input. the 2nd lasted up untill 2 weeks ago!

This weekend I`m will be installing a Pioneer car head unit with the aux. input for the surround and a small amp to power the sub! and a speaker switch for the inside/outside speakers.

Are you just getting a stand alone DVD player and hook it to your Lcd? It is a Dam* shame that these Concertones are such pieces of , well you know.

well i have new news. we talked to the vp of forest river two days ago. my dealer had 10 radio's that are supposed to be good. he tried 6 of them in another customers trailer and none were good. he tried to get the pres on the phone. got the vp on his cell phone. we got a call back from the guy that runs concertone within 5 mins. they are air frieghting 10 new radios. they have changed suppliers. they are assuring us that these units are much better quality. should be here tomorrow or tues. mon is a holiday here. i will try a new radio next week after we get back from our first trip this year. lets all keep our fingers crossed that this is finally over. i was told they had a executive meeting last week and that they are losing customers because of this problem. they are taking it very seriously. the vp was furious about how many radio's i have gone though. i will post as soon as i get my new radio.

If they are brand new models, they probably wont have the TV tuner built into the unit. You'll have to use an RCA cable from the TV to the input of the Concertone.
